We assure the authors that the data collected from users of this journal falls within the scope of the standard functioning of peer-reviewed journals. It includes information that makes communication possible for the editorial process; it is used to inform readers about the authorship and editing of content, and it enables the tracking of user behaviour to improve the journal's web experience.

1.    Data Collection and Usage

The Experts Journal of Management Sciences collects two types of data from its users:

  • User-Supplied Information: When registering or submitting to this journal, authors, reviewers, and editors provide personal information including names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, ORCID iDs, and contact details. This data is strictly used to facilitate peer review, manage submissions, distribute published content, and authenticate user accounts.
  • System-Generated Information: As our journal is using Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform which automatically tracks metadata such as IP addresses, browser types, and usage statistics. This data is used to maintain site security, track download metrics, and optimize website performance.

2.    Publicly Displayed Information

For any manuscript accepted for publication, the following information will be made publicly available alongside the article:

  • Author name(s) and institutional affiliation(s).
  • Corresponding author email address (to facilitate academic correspondence).
  • ORCID IDs (if provided).

3.    Data Sharing and Confidentiality

We value your privacy. The Experts Journal of Management Sciences will never sell, lease, or rent your personal data to third parties. Your data will only be shared under the following conditions:

  • With editorial board members and peer reviewers to evaluate submissions (under strict confidentiality).
  • With abstracting, indexing, and archiving services (e.g., CrossRef, DOAJ) to ensure global visibility and preservation of published work.
  • If required by law or to protect the legal rights of the journal.

4.    Integrity and Ethical Responsibilities

As a peer-reviewed journal, the integrity of our editorial process is paramount.

  • Peer Review Confidentiality: Reviewer identities are kept confidential (except in open peer review models) and are only visible to authorized editors.
  • Unpublished Manuscripts: Manuscripts under review are treated as privileged and strictly confidential documents. Editors and reviewers are prohibited from sharing or utilizing any part of an unpublished manuscript.

5.    Data Retention and Your Rights

Registered users retain control over their profile data and can update or correct their personal information at any time by logging into their account.

Note on Deletion: While users may request to deactivate their accounts, metadata associated with published articles (such as author names in a published PDF) forms part of the permanent scientific record and cannot be altered or removed once published, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
